Christine Salazar for Regional Director
Fighting for the People – Building the Future.
Why I’m Running
Our communities deserve leaders who put people first – not politics, not personal agendas.
As a lifelong advocate for education, working families, and community empowerment, I am running for Regional Director because I believe we must build a Democratic Party that reflects the strength, diversity, and values of the people we serve.
I have spent my life fighting to open doors for others – as a public servant, as a mother, as an education advocate, and as a proud grassroots Democrat.
Now, I’m ready to bring that same passion, persistence, and commitment to ensuring that our region has a bold voice at the table – one that will listen, organize, and deliver.
Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive, and more responsive Democratic Party – one that truly belongs to the people.
My Priorities as Regional Director:
- Strengthening Grassroots Voices
- Expand outreach and leadership development programs for young Democrats, new activists, and community members who have been historically marginalized.
- Support policies and actions that prioritize people-powered movements, not just party politics.
- Building Stronger Local Infrastructure
- Organize regional events, workshops, and trainings that equip local leaders and clubs to grow their membership, build coalitions, and win elections up and down the ballot.
- Promote transparency, communication, and collaboration across Assembly Districts and Democratic organizations.
- Championing Equity and Inclusion
- Ensure that leadership opportunities reflect the diversity of our region – including women, communities of color, LGBTQ+ members, working families, and individuals with disabilities.
- Actively dismantle barriers that prevent participation and leadership advancement at every level.
- Fighting for Democratic Values
- Defend voting rights, workers’ rights, public education, healthcare access, and climate action.
- Stand up against misinformation, extremism, and any form of oppression that threatens our communities and our democracy.
Experience You Can Trust
I bring experience that is both broad and deeply rooted:
- Former Trustee and Board President, Hacienda La Puente USD
- Elected three times as an Assembly District Delegate (ADEM)
- Current E-Board Representative for Assembly District 56
- Treasurer and Executive Board Member, California Latino School Boards Association (CLSBA)
- Recipient of the Democrat of the Year Award (AD 56)
- Advocate for education equity, labor rights, and grassroots organizing
I have seen what happens when communities are ignored – and I know what it takes to make sure they are heard.
